HOT/COLD SAMPLE HOLDER ACCESSORY
| This sample holder is mounted on a lid which fits the basic detector sample box and is permanently oriented at 45° to the x-ray beam. It is meant for moderate heating and cooling of a sample, -100 C to 300 C. The sample finger has clips with which to attach the sample, a Type K thermocouple, a cooling loop and a heating element. There is no enclosure around the sample or insulation from the environment of the sample box. For cooling, either a cooled fluid or cooled nitrogen gas may be pumped through the cooling loop. Heating temperatures can be controlled with your variable transformer and digital temperature monitor.
